Ford Repair: 1992 Ford F150, fuel pressure regulator, fuel pumps

Question
I have a 1992 Ford F150 and lately the fuel pumps run constantly and the engine won't start. Other times it starts and runs fine. I've changed the fuel pressure regulator and that didn't fix it. A couple of times the fuel pump ran, pressurized the line, and shut off like its supposed to but then it started running again after the engine started. Any suggestions?

Answer
Hello Wendell, There is a relay for the fuel pumps that may be not working properly. It is located under the hood in a dist box, try swapping it with the a/c relay to see if it makes a difference and go from there. Thanks Tony

Hello Wendell, Does the pump quit when you remove the relay ?
Thanks Tony
