When headlights are turned on chimes come on and door open light is on but doors are closed.4

this is a typical problem on these vans, first try(one at a time)  slamming a door closed, and after each door see if the light has gone off, in each door there is something called a "door ajar"  switch. after time and use these switches tend to stick. slamming the door may let it free, also spray some penetrating fluid in the latches, the switch is under the the latch, this will be hard to determine for the tail gate though, because of the fact there is two of them in there, bottom left and bottom right, If this method does not work then one of the switches will definitely be faulty,it will have to be scanned to determine the door that is causing the light to stay on. the switches are about 20 dollars, but the labor with the diagnostics is 2 hours, 1 hour for diag and one for part replacement.   this usually happens to the drivers side front door because it is always the one most used.. but hopefully this first method will work for you. let me know how it goes..
