Ford Repair: 1994 mustang 3.8 no start, crankshaft sensor, crank sensor

Question
On first try it started, ran good, then rough. set a po320 code(ignition engine speed input fault)cleared code, started again, same thing, cleared code again but wont start.Iv'e tested the crank sensor and wires, coil, spark at plugs, cam position sensor, fuel pressure, positive and ground to ignition module, also checked ignition module to spout connector for continuity, all good, Also checked resistance of crankshaft sensor terminals 7&8 at ignition module, should be 1.0-1.5 ohms but I got nothing, could this mean that this circuit in the ignition module has failed preventing the crank and cam sensor from activating the injectors? Just dont want to buy a ignition module if I dont need it. Thanks

Answer
On these 3.8 engines the cam sensor gives the signals for the fuel injectors, and the crank sensor gives the spark and timing signals. if the crank sensor has normal resistance and is not physically damaged, and there is no excessive resistance in the wiring from the crank sensor, it may just be the ignition module, for the first 10 seconds or so it should run on base timing, that is why it runs good when you first start it up, then the ignition module should take over and retard or advance the timing as necessary, to me it sounds like its not doing its part, so replacing the module does seem necessary,
