Ford Repair: 1994 Crown Vic running rough, mass airflow sensor, vacuum leaks

Question
I have a 1994 Crown Vic PI that runs roughly at times.  It sets a temporary code at times,  EGR-33.   It idles well and runs ok at full throttle, but runs rough between idle and WOT.  I had a garage remove the EGR valve and clean out the EGR manifold & replace the pipe -  no change.  I changed the DFPE sensor in the EGR valve, no change.  Disconnected the connector to the EGR valve solenoid temporarily, - no change.  Swapped the TPS sensor - ran worse.  The fuel pump was replaced a couple of years ago.  The car has about 150K miles on it.  Seems to run a little better when warm.  car will be missing and then miss will clear up and car will run fine.  What could be causing this?

Thanks

Answer
possible causes-plugs/wires/coil pack/vacuum leaks (have someone smoke test it)/dirty mass airflow sensor (very common)/ the list goes on-instead of guessing or telling a garage what to do, if you have a reputable garage around, take your car to them tell them the symptoms and even roadtest with them, then leave the car and let them do their job and diagnose and repair the problem. be patient it may be a little difficult but they should be able to find it. good luck.
