Ford Repair: crown vic 2003, crown vic, wheel cylinders

my breaks failed ,went to the floor .the next day i got in the car put my foot on break after two pump they were hard then i turn the car on touch the breaks they went to the floor!!! i took it for a ride around block the breaks work but are very soft and close to the floor i check the fluid it was ok i check the break pads they were ok what could be the problem

if your fluid is still full it sounds like master cylinder is bypassing-check all wheels to be sure you don't have any leakage around calipers or wheel cylinders if they are ok odds are you have a bad master cylinder-don't play around with it-get it checked and repaired.
