Ford Repair: 04 Escape will not manually key start, but will remote start, check engine oil, key start

My truck sat idle for about 3 months. Battery went dead, we replaced the battery. Now, when I try to manually key start the car, it wont turn over. All the lights come on, the radio turns on, my check engine, oil and low battery light stay on, no clicking noise, nothing. But, when I remote start it, it turns on fine, put the key in the ignition and it drives well. The car will turn off manually, just not on, but the remote start is fully active. We drove around, put gas in it and all.

honestly i haven't run into this yet-if it was the other way around i would suggest reprogramming but in this situation i would have to look at ignition switch and see if starter is getting signal when key is turned to start position-it is getting power in run position or it wouldn't be running of course-but the remote bypasses the ignition switch on startup.
