Ford Repair: 92 Ford Taurus 3.0 v6, mass air flow sensor, mass air flow

Question
Hey Mark,

After I have driven the car around and it has warmed to normal operating temp. it seems like it is starving for fuel. Now the mass air flow sensor has been replaced and the car ran fine for about a week or two and the same problem came back so I did some research and found a TSB on this vehicle and that was to replace the sensors electrical connector. So I did and nothing changed so I'm not sure where to go with further diagnosis any thoughts or advice would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

Answer
if it feels like it is starving for fuel then its true a maf can cause this most of the time ford maf sensors can be cleaned-but there are other things that can cause this a weak fuel pump/clogged fuel filter/ect sensor going bad/dirty air filter/oxygen sensor and or a broken catalyst in the catalytic convertor just to name a few-have you had it scanned not only for codes but you can watch data and sometimes figure out what is going on.
