Ford Repair: 1999 Ford Contour SE brakes, ford contour, abs brakes

I recently purchased this car which has 70,000 miles and was well treated, I think. I want to know if this car has optional ABS brakes. The owner's manual is no help. What should I look for to get a definitive answer?

first when you turn your key on look on the dash for an abs or antilock light-if you don't see that turn your steering wheel all the way to the right go outside and look behind left front tire between the fender well and tire there is going to be a black hose that is your brake hose
look and see if you have a thinner black wire coming from the fender well to the wheel if so you have antilock brakes-also you can call a ford parts dept and give them your vin number and they can tell you.
