Ford Repair: 92 Ford Bronco Eddie Baur Edition, eddie baur, ford bronco

Question
My Ford is "surging" when it goes up hills, I am not sure why. I also lost the ability to use my turn signals. The emergency lights work but not turn signals. I had to have the fuel pump replaced, and I am just not knowledgeable enough to know what I can do so I avoid being ripped off. It cost me 895.00 to get that fixed and my buds told me they had a field day with me. Please help! I love my baby and want her to be healthy!!

Answer
i would be interested in seeing that invoice to know what all they did and what was involved in that-a simple diagnosis-using the best pump (factory)around here would be around 600.00 worse case. but instead of passing judgement on that let's look at your problems.

turn signals if you have a tilt steering wheel then it is common for connector locks going to t/signal switch to break and let wires pull out of it-could be a turn signal flasher (best case scenario)or possibly blown fuse and the always popular wiring problem-broke,shorted

surging egr valve sticking-can be unplugged and drove to see if surging goes away but check engine light will come on.

low fuel pressure usually caused by inferior pumps-(cheap)
restricted fuel filter
loose grounds

fax me a copy of your invoice monday so i can read it maybe get an idea about your truck or take it to a trustworthy garage around you-ask your friends where they would take theirs.

good luck either way
