Ford Repair: 2001 Ford Escape, vacuum leak, ford escape

Question
My Escape has appx 104,000 miles on it.  It occasionally won't idle when it starts.  I have to keep pressing the gas pedal to keep it going.  After a minute or so, the engine will rev up and then seems to run fine.  Any idea what the problem could be?

Answer
vacuum leak cold possibly and it may seal after running a few seconds if it is this as cooler weather gets here it will take longer for it to start running better after starting
could be a dirty or sticking idle control motor
have it checked out most of the time this is not an expensive repair especially if you have kept your maintenance up.
