Ford Repair: windstar 2002 3.8 ltr, automatic shift, shift position

    Good afternoon. My question is regarding automatic shift position. When in drive PRND display show it as neutral. Van will not go into park and will only start in neutral PRND display reverse. How can I adjust ? I can see where cable meets transmission.

if you can put it in gears it just reads wrong you adjust that under dash-pull lower cover from under column and you should see a fine wire running from cluster to column housing-it is either connected to a clip you can remove and reposition or has a thumbwheel you just turn.
