Ford Repair: my truck, throttle position sensor, obd 1 trouble codes

i have a 1990 ford truck its the 5.0 , and i can be driving it down the road and it will start missing, and when i put the gas peddle all the way to the floor it doesnt do anything

A couple of things might cause this problem. The first thing I would do is to retrieve the trouble codes from the on board computer. Sure the method is archaic, but it will probably lead you to which sensor is at fault. If you don't know how to read OBD-1 trouble codes, get you a haynes manual for instructions.
