Ford Repair: 1993 Escort Evaporator replacement, wire ties, silcone

I removed the evaporator/blower housing from my 1993 Escort. What is the best way to open this unit to replace the evaporator (old one is leaking), it seems to be glued together.

you have to cut it i use a soldering iron with cutting tip-while evap is out i drill some holes and use plastic wire ties to pull case back together-then go over cut area with silcone-i hear household caulking works good also-then i tape over the seam. good luck.
