Ford Repair: Need help, catalytic convertor, vacuum leak

My 2000 ford focus motor mount and dome mount broke already replaced but my car doesnt want to stay running unless my foot is on the gas and it makes grinding noises and i looked under the car and my exhast pipe was red-hot WHAT IS WRONG???

if your exhaust is red hot it is either running extremely rich or lean
i don't know about the grinding noise but look for a vacuum leak possibly under the intake manifold or on the front drivers side of engine pcv valve tube may have a hole in the rubber sucking air making it run bad and lean-if you have black smoke coming out the exhaust it is running rich-get it checked out so you don't ruin a catalytic convertor.
