Ford Repair: Ford 1988 Bronco Start Problem, fusible link, man job

Question
QUESTION: The key does not turn 88 Bronco over.  Vehicle does start if jumped at selonoid.  Runs fine after jump.  Any help is appreciated, thanks!

ANSWER: Replace the solenoid. It's that simple. If that doesn't help, which it does 99 percent of the time, there may be a fusible link bad located right near the solenoid, It's the solenoid.

QUESTION: I'm sorry, I should have included that I did replace the solenoid.

Answer
Check the fusible link that I mentioned before. Test the ignition switch lead going to the solenoid. This will be a 2 man job. You're problem, if it isn't in the fusible link, is either the ignition switch itself, or the rod in the column. Hopefully it is just the switch.
