Ford Repair: ford f150 brake problem, brake hoses, fluid leaks

Question
my pick up was diving real bad when i hit the brakes so i changed the opposite side the caliper was bad but it is still diving

Answer
make sure rear brakes are ok-shoes-no fluid leaks-and in adjustment
and when applying brakes they are stopping you may have to raise rear of vehicle up-put on stands-start-put in gear get rear wheels turning about 15-30 mph then apply brakes and see if they stop instantly-if so move on to front-

calipers/brake hoses/proportioning valve/master cylinder/pads and rotors or any combination could be causing problem and may be hard to diagnose especially if high mileage-take it to a repair facility brakes are nothing to play with.
