Ford Repair: It wont start, 2002 2003 2004 2005 2006 2007 2008 ford leaks water when it rains

About a year ago my '02 Ford Ranger XLT 4WD Sport began giving me problem starting. I Turned the ignition key, and nothing. It could only start by pushing or pulling it.However, it didn't give me trouble for about a month. I change to a new battery to no avail. I took it to the stealership in Costa Rica  and was suggested to have it re-keyed. It cost me $300.00. A month latter same problem. I have learned to live with this problem because I don't know where to go for help due to the fact that I'm visiting Costa Rica and mechanics here all they want is your money and they can't be really trusted. Knowing that any time the ignition key won't work is driving me up to a wall. I do need help. What's the problem?

Answer
Remove the front interior kick panels and see if the carpet matting is wet under the front carpet areas. A water leak intrusion in the 'A' post or roof panel areas can cause a condition such as this by entering into an electronic module. Let me know if you find the floor matting wet.
