Ford Repair: 2001 Escape, seam sealer, drain tubes

Question
We have water on the passenger side front foot well "sometimes " when it rains. Where would be a good place to look ? thanks in advance

Answer
 Carl,
Things that can be leaking water on a 2001 escape:

1)the right side air vent cover/splash shield could be loose or not located in the right position. This would allow excessive water to enter the fresh air intake tower.(you would find this under the cowl screen)
2)you could have a high cowl seam leak.(this seam runs right up to the bottom r/s corner of the windshield on the outside of the vehicle and can be seen with the wipers and cowl screen removed)
3)top,front roof panel seam sealer may have a small crack in it due to age.
(this is the roof panel seam you see from the outside of the vehicle that runs the length of the body)
4) if your vehicle has a sunroof unit-the right side drain tubes may not be functioning correctly.

Hope this helps,
Drew
