QUESTION: In my 1989 ford F 250 7.5 liter v8 4-wheel drive pickup truck I smell a strong gas odor in the cab after it warms up, and if I turn it off for 3 to 5 minutes it is very hard to start, like its flooded, but if I wait around 30 minutes, it starts fine, otherwise it run fine

Answer
A couple of things to look at here. Gut until you solve this problem, discontinue driving the truck. There is a fire hazard there. Start by checking the fuel pump relay, it nay be stuck open. The fuel pressure regulator is the next place to start. Start looking around the fuel rail for a leaking o ring.
