Ford Repair: 2004 mercury mountaineer, mercury mountaineer, 2004 mercury mountaineer

v6 mercury mountaineer awd--the door ajar dash light is staying on, with all the doors shut properly. Also the interior lights stay on, unless i turn them off manually.The factory alarm does not come on as well.The vehicle drives great and everything else seems to be ok. Any ideas?

Hello Gary, 1st try to spray some lube into the door latches and open ancd close the door several times. If that doesn't work the switch that is located at the door latch will have to be replaced. Is mostly the most door used. Hope This helps Thanks Tony
