Ford Repair: Ford Explorer electrical problems, dashboard lights, water intrusion

My 2003 Ford Explorer has started having problems with the controls and gauges.  Each problem is intermittent, sometimes it happens, sometimes it is fine, and they do not all happen at the same time.  I have had the wipers go out, the cruise control go out, the dashboard lights and gauges go out, and the abs light on.  Seems like an electrical problem.

Hello Travis, 2 possibilites to look at. Check to see if the GEM module for any water intrusion. check the wiring harness that goes from the engine compartment to the inside of the vehicle under dash on left side, have seen a chafed wire in the harness where it goes through.
