Ford Repair: 83 lincoln mark 6 fuel trouble, noid light, question pool

Hi I have a 83 mark,no a junker fixed up as its the last full size 2 door made,thing is it will not start unless I put fuel in the throttle body myself, and then it will start and run fine til I shut it down then it will not start up again til I put fuel in it again,What tells the injectors to give it that first shot of fuel to start ??,I have changed most everything under the hood,and yes the in tank fuel pump also,any ideas,? thanks for your time,oh yes a 5.0,

REPLY: Replace you're bowl vent solenoid, or you have some bad injectors. Either is possible and cost about the same.

I saw you in the question pool and thought that I would take a stab. Check for voltage. I know that you said that you replaced the fuel pump, is it cutting on? Check the injectors for voltage with a noid light. If you have to change the relays. I am not to sure whether or not you're car has the eight single injectors or the bowl type. If you have the bowl type, look at changing the bowl vent solenoid. Any replies will have to be made in the comments section.
