Ford Repair: 02 FORD RANGER 4.0 TRANSMISSION, pan gasket, trasmission

IT WILL SLIP WORSE WHEN FLUID IS LOW BUT WILL ALSO SLIP WHEN FULL. IT SEEMS TO MOSTLY LEAK FROM AROUND THE PAN. DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THEY REPLACED THEY REPLACED THE PAN GASKET. IS IT POSSIBLE THE COMPUTER INCREASES THE PRESSURE BECAUSE OF A PROBLEM WITH TRASMISSION TO CAUSE THIS LEAK ?

Hello Jacob, The pcm will not do that, but if you think the pan is leaking and the dealer did the repair recently have them re check it as they should. If the trans runs low on fluid it can cause unneeded wear on the clutches and drums. I wish I could give you a better answer than what I am. You'll need to get the leak repaired and then go from there. Thanks Tony
