Ford Repair: 88 Crown Vic wont start, crown vic, mileage car

88 Crown Vic, 302.  Recently purchased this one owner low mileage car and love driving it but...it recently died and wouldn't restart.  Let it set a few hours and it fired right up.  Next day started, let it idle for 20 min. or so and died again.  Hour later it starts no problem.  Next day start it and move it under carport, left run and it never died.  Today it won't start at all.  Does not act like a fuel issue as it dies instantly without a sputter.  Suggestions where to start?

Sounds like either a coil or ignition module.You can have both of them tested at one of you're local parts stores.There was a recall on the ignition module.Since it is a one owner,it may not have been serviced.Call the dealer and give them the V.I.N.They will be able to tell you.
