Ford Repair: rear brakes, disc brake caliper, brake caliper tool

Question
Hi i hope you could help me i have a 2003 ford mustang v6 i want to change my rear brakes is there a special tool to push the piston in i always do front brakes and i use a c clamp but it wont work on the rear thanks mike

Answer
Yes there is a special tool required.Basically what you will be doing is spinning the piston back in instead of pushing.Do this process very slowly because the tool is made very cheap and will break otherwise. If you look at the piston you will see the marks/indention where the square tool will mount.BTW,when you pick the tool up at you're parts store,go ahead and pick up a disc brake caliper tool instead of a c clamp.
