Ford Repair: 1995 voyager van, throttle position sensor, air control valve

Question
i know its not a ford but it could be a problem with any vehicle.  my van when you start it up the whole van starts shaking, the headlights are on but flicker a little bit.  and when you try to give it gas it doesnt do anything unless you floor it.  any ideas

Answer
This can be caused from a variety of problems. It could just need a tune up.Back track to when it started unless it's been doing this for a while.Try cleaning the throttle body and idle air control valve. The throttle position sensor could be bad.You said that this could be a problem with any car,but I have never heard of a Ford doing this. The best thing for you to do is to check to make sure that the firing order is right, clean sensors like the two I previously had mentioned along with the EGR valve. Also, check the ignition timing. It might help if this is sensor related to have the engine codes read.
