Ford Repair: 95 ford airconditioning, vacuum lines, climate control

When I go up a hill or take off from the lights the Airconditioning diverts to the demist vents and blows on the windscreen.  Could you tell me what directs this air and if it is possibly a faulty vaccuum line or the like?  do you think it is fixable without taking the dash out? are there some things I could check?  thank you in advance. John

Hello John, I am sure it is fixable without taking the dash out, but you may have to remover the radio and dropdown the glove box to gain access to the climate control componets. Check your vacuum lines to see if there is one chaffed/split. Hope this helps Thanks Tony
