CAn U help i just bought a 98 ford taurus and the dashbord warning light wont shut off saying the doors are opened and the interior light wont shut off either because the car thinks a door is opened....no door is opened and i dont know what to do?

Hello Mike, There is a switch called a door ajar switch located in the door latch in the door. A trick is to spray rust penetrant into the door latches and open and close the door several times to get the oil on the end of the switch. If the light is on a Ford dealer can perform a test to pinpoint the bad switch. Hope this helps Thanks Tony
