Ford Repair: 2001 Ford Taurus 3.0 Vulcan, jet performance chips, taurus 3

Question
Hello, my Taurus now has a supercharger from a 3.8 T-bird and is great with all this new power, the trans will need to be upgraded soon for the power and I have z rated tires and have done a lot of suspension mods on the car as well...But now I have a problem, I took it to the autocross track the other day and it will only go to the factory governed speed of around 108 or so and that is it...I have contacted a few companies that make the reprogrammers for the trucks and mustangs etc and no one makes anything for the Taurus to reprogram or up the limiter or ????  Any help would be appreciated,   thanks in advance,  Ted in Nebraska

Answer
That is so awesome.I looked around and, well I have good news, you came to the right place.Jet performance chips makes a power control module for the 2000 and 2002 models but I failed to see the 2001 on their list unfortunately.I am taking this as a personal challenge because I live for this kind of question.Unfortunately,I don't believe that this will help the problem at hand. That has to suck wanting to open it up like that and not being able to.On the other hand, while typing and browsing I found a programmable chip for you at this site (www.sfxperformance.com).Performance chips are custom programmable so you will just need to give them you're VIN and or code from you're PCU.Good luck, drop by anytime.
BTW,I forgot to mention that I pulled you're question from the pool.We try to answer all questions in a very timely manner and thought that you would want to know this when rating my answer, please do.My service to this site is voluntary and free,so kind words are very valuable to us.
