Ford Repair: smell, burning rubber, ford focus

my 2004 ford focus has a burning rubber smell inside the car after i have driven it a little.  you can smell it a little on the outside, it is a sickening smell.  i have had it checked out but they could not find anything

Hello Kathy, A rubber burning smell can be caused by several things, I would check to make sure nothing is on the exhaust underneath, plastic bag, ect. Check for a oil leak, Sorry for being vague but its pretty open when ther is a odor like that. Hope this helps Thanks Tony
