Ford Repair: 1999 f-150, transmission filter, transmission problems

Question
I'm having an issue with my f-150. I was driving along and came to a stop light. When the light turned green, I pressed the gas and the vehicle would not move until I reved up the truck to about 5000 rpm. I got the truck home and put it into the garage. When I got up the next morning to pull to the truck out of the garage, it would not go in reverse but would go in drive. I waited about a week due to my work schedule and the truck went into reverse but would not go forward.

Answer
Sounds like transmission problems.Sometimes a transmission filter will help,or even a low fluid level may cause a problem like you are having. You can get a salvage transmission from you're local parts store with a one year warranty for about half the cost of a remanufactured one.Don't just have it swapped out also,be sure and have the lines flushed.
