Ford Repair: 2004 Ford Expedition parking brake adjustment, rear brakes, ford expedition

Question
How do I adjust the parking brake on this rear disc/drum parking brake vehicle, as my parking brake pedal goes to the floor?

Answer
If you're parking brake goes all the way to the floor, with no tension, you may be looking at replacing the cable. If there is tension yet the pedal does not hold adequately enough, then you need to replace the pads/shoes.They are separate from the rear brakes usually located on the inside of the drum/rotor,so removal is a requirement.Until you do this, you really won't have any idea where you stand. But to answer you're question, the parking brake is automatically adjusted during normal braking.
