Ford Repair: HELP mustang 2002, automotive electrician, fuel filter

Question
took my mustang 2002 out thursday night drove thru some standing water at a drive thru not too deep, but the next morning car would turnover but not start. changed fuel filter has new battery and i can hear the fuel pump hum when you first turn on. noticed connector at back of tank could this have shorted out due to water? trying to avoid replacing anything else i dont have to

Answer
That is going to be what I call a crap shoot.Take the connector loose, clean it,and apply dielectric grease. You should be able to get everything that you need to do this at the parts store.Find out if you have power and go from there. All else fails you may need to take the vehicle to an automotive electrician.
