Ford Repair: 2005 Freestar-p1450, 2005 ford freestar, ford freestar

I have a 2005 Ford Freestar, and the check engine light came on...code is p1450.  
A little more information, after the light came on, I went to put gas in, and I am not able to turn the pump on, and have the gas run continuously.  The pump shuts off, and gas shoots back out.  I have to run the gas very slow, and when the pump shuts off, I have to wait 10-15 seconds before starting the gas again, or else I end up with a shower of gasoline...
I would appreciate any guideness you might be able to offer.  Mileage is 57000.

The code is from an Inability of Evaporative Emission Control System to Bleed Fuel Tank.You will need to take you're vehicle to you're local mechanic.If you are unsure of who to take it to,you're local parts store should be able to give good references on honest mechanics.
