i am having a problem with my 1955 forf f-100. im haveing trouble hooking up the alternator. what do i do?

What size engine is in you're F-series pickup?You're truck came with a generator,so if you are trying to convert it it can be sometimes troublesome.I have the best results with a 1 wire GM alternator.Getting the right voltage regulator can also be pretty tricky.What exactly are you having trouble with?What year,make,and model is the alternator you are trying to hook up off of?
