My Taurus A/C compressor stuck and caused noise. How to replace the compressor? Is this big job?

It is a pretty big job if you want the parts to be warrantied.You will need to provide proof that the system has been evacuated and flushed.You also need to replace the orifice tube,drier,and evaporator.Replacing the compressor itself is usually relatively easy.It is the other parts that get a little bit difficult.You mechanic will charge what he does for the use of his equipment.The good news is that the parts have gotten a whole lot less expensive.
