is it possible to swap a 2.9 out for a larger engine?

Anything is possible.Is it practical.We put small blocks with a 550 Holly in rangers all of the time.I am pretty sure that you are dissatisfied with you're truck's performance,put don't want to get mugged at the pump.Look for a wrecked ranger with a 4.0 and get the computer,wiring harness,etc.
