Ford Repair: 2002 ford windstar abs, ford windstar, 2002 ford windstar

I have a 2002 Ford Windstar. When traveling down the road the T/C light will come on then the e-brake light then the abs light. With this you get a hard brake pedal. The brakes still work but hard pedal. If you shut the van off then start back up everything clear for awhile. I hooked up to computer and got codes c1185 which is abs relay and code u1262. Also did a drive test and all four speed sensors were inaccurate. They all read the same but about 25mph less than the speedo. I was running 67 and computer said 42. could this be a bad abs relay doing all of this.

Hi Brandon,
It probably is the ABS relay. Unfortunately it's part of the ABS module. I have changed hundreds of faulty ABS modules on Windstars. They are very expensive. Just to be safe, take it to your FORD dealer and have them diag and get you an estimate. GOOD LUCK!!
