Ford Repair: 351w fuel injection, mass airflow sensor, speed density

Question
will an upper intake and throttle body of a 302 ho fuelly fit on the base intake of 351w fuelly if not what do you need to convert a map sensor eec IV to a mass airflow sensor eec IV and what horse power can i expect

Answer
Ryan-

No, an upper manifold from a 302 will not fit the 351W lower manifold.  To convert over to mass air from speed density, it's best just to buy a conversion kit.  I'm pretty sure Ford Racing still sells a complete kit for such a swap.  I think it was designed for early Lightnings but it should work with almost any 351.  As far as horsepower goes, it's hard to say.  It depends on the year, what model vehicle the engine came from, modifications, etc.  I'd say a late model stock 351W with EFI would probably make power in the mid 200hp range.  Maybe between 230-250hp.  The older the motor, the more power it's likely to make.  Hope this helps.
