Ford Repair: EEC fuses blows out when starting on 91 ford explorer, haynes manual, fuse box

Question
Hi,
I have a Ford Explorer 91 and when I was driving, all of a sudden the RPM went to zero, well I had to get it towed. I did a lot of reading and replaced the Ignition control module, Coil Pack and also the relay at the bottom of the fuse box. Its still blowing out the 30A fuse marked as ECC. Also I notice that my fuel pump is working well, because I can hear it from inside the car. I was wondering what could be causing the fuse to blow out? Also if its shorting somewhere, where could it be and what will I need to diagonse this short. I do have a multimeter.

hope for an early reply.

Thanks a lot

Answer
Finding the short is not going to be an easy task.First you will need an electrical schematic. You can get one from a Mitchell and or Haynes manual.I would start with the sensors on the same circuit as your fuse.Their may be the possibility that your on board computer fried. If it was my own car I would probably have it taken to a reliable mechanic that specializes in auto electrical systems. There is usually one or two in most major cities.
