Ford Repair: valve cover gaskets, silicone gasket, ford ranger

if theres any way possible i could get the instructions on changing valve cover gaskets on a 88 ford ranger with a 2.9

  There's no real secret to it, really.  Unbolt the cover, use a scraper to clean the old gasket off of the head, line up the new gasket and apply some RTV or other silicone gasket sealer, then bolt the cover back on.  All I can really say besides that is that you should take your time and not rush it.  It's a pretty quick job as it is, but rushing it will just cause problems.  Hope this helps.
