Ford Repair: 87 F150 4.9 straight six, head gasket, distributor cap

Jason,when I get out of work in the morning and start my truck up it misses out until it warms up,then it runs fine.

There are a lot of things that could cause that--  first of all, has it been "tuned up" recently with good plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor?  If not, I'd start there.  Does it use any coolant?  If it does, that could be a sign of a head gasket or head leaking coolant into the cylinders.  We'll just hope it's spark plugs for now, though.  :-)  Hope this helps,
