how to change an alternator on a ford f-150-engine 5.4L-2001

Answer
Simple.  Disconnect battery, remove serpentine belt by pushing back the spring-loaded tensioner, remove all bolts holding the alternator to the engine (3 large and 3 small, if I remember right) then remove the wires from the alternator.  Install new alternator using reversed procedure, making sure the belt lines up on all the pulleys before starting.  Hope this helps!
