Ford Repair: car problem, ford contours, reputable shop

my 98 ford coountour will not move when i put it in drive it only moves revers and real slow in first and second gear can you help

Ford contours are great cars except for one little detail...  They are notorious for transmission failures and it's very likely what you are experiencing.  It would be a good idea to get a second opinion by taking the car to a reputable shop where they can do some diagnostics before making the final call.  I wish you luck-- I've been there and it's no fun!!
