Ford Repair: Window Motor Removal/Replacement, interior door panel, ford windstar

Question
I have a 2000 Ford Windstar; my driver's window does not work, however the passenger side is okay. How do I replace the window motor on the driver's side? Is there a guide you can refer me to in supplementing your response?

Answer
I don't have any type of guide for you, but I have had good luck with Mitchell-1 e-auto repair which is at this address:

For 10 bucks you get access to a wealth of repair information on your vehicle.  It's basically the same thing we use at the shop (maybe better even!!).  And it's half the cost of a repair manual.
As far as the job itself, it's not too hard at all.  It's a matter of removing all the screws from the interior door panel, unplugging the window switch, pulling the door panel off, and the motor should be visible and fairly easy to access.  There are small plastic clips that hold the panel on, a little patience goes a long way when popping them loose.  If any break, super glue makes them new again.  Good luck,
Jason
