Ford Repair: 2000 Ford Taurus 3.0 DOHC, vacuum leak, taurus 3

Question
Shaun, need to know where PCV is locate on the engine - seems to be well hidden. You may have already answered this question for someone else, but I'm not able to find it on the web site. Thanks!

Answer
Hello Wendell,
I have to apologize first for taking so long to get back to you. I actually have not answered this question before, but I would be happy to.
The PCV valve is mounted in between a 90 degree rubber hose that goes to the vapor separator under the intake and another 180 degree hose that hooks to the throttle body. It sort of sits underneath the throttle body and is well hidden. Many times I have seen the 180 degree section(it is 3/8" diam. and must be oil resistant) deteriorate and create a large vacuum leak, so if that hose appears to be sucking shut, it needs to be replaced. Good luck, and feel free to follow up!  Shaun.
