Ford Repair: RANGER SWAP, sean hyland motorsports, ranger swap

I WAS WONDERING HOW DIFFICULT IT WOULD BE TO PUT AN 03 COBRA MOTOR IS A 99 RANGER?

  How hard would it be?  Well..hard.  Very hard.  The main problem is space.  Many Ranger models will accept a 5.0L swap, but I've never seen a 4.6L swapped in a Ranger.  4.6L motors are noticeably wider than 5.0Ls and the '03 Cobra motor would likely be quite a bit taller with the supercharger on there.  Hood clearance and fitment aside, I'm just not aware of anyone making swap kits for such a project.  There may be someone out there I just don't know about, but if not then you'd be looking at having everything fabricated and that'd be extremely expensive.  If I were you, I'd put in a call to one of the places that works almost exclusively on Ford's modular engine family.  Sean Hyland Motorsports and Livernois Motorsports come to mind right off the bat.  There also used to be a company called Kaufmann Products that made 5.0L swap kits for Rangers.  Maybe they've made them for 4.6L motors as well.  Hope this helps.
