Ford Repair: dont know what happened, stearing wheel, power steering fluid

Question
i have a 2000 ford explorer all wheel drive. a critter chewed through my fuel line so towed it about 1 block to have it fixed now something is wrong with my stearing the front tires seem to bounce when going slow and turning the stearing wheel what happened

Answer
Hi Brenda,
What happened was when the vehicle was pushed and moved around without the engine running, it got air bubbles trapped in the power steering system. The bubbles work themselves out, but sometimes it loses a little fluid in the process. After the bubbles work themselves out, check and properly top off the fluid with standard power steering fluid, or have your service guy check it at next oil change. I hope this helps!   Shaun.
