Ford Repair: 2003 Mustang GT, ford performance, mustang gt

Question
how difficult would it be to replace the 4.6 mod with a 5.0 pushrod motor? I would think it wouldn't be that bad, since the chassis really isn't that different from the 94-95 which still had that motor.  I realize the trans would have to be swapped.  Any input aprreciated.

Answer
David-

It's not insanely hard, but it's more involved than you'd probably think.  But it depends a lot on what model year and car that the engine is going into.  If it's something like a '96-'98 Mustang you can swipe everything you need from a '94-'95 GT.  If it's one of the "new edge" Mustangs ('99-'04), a bit more work will be required.  For a much more detailed list of what will be needed, I'd suggest contacting a company that specializes in modular Ford performance like Sean Hyland Motorsports.  The swap isn't terribly common on street cars because there isn't much gain to be made between the two motors, but if anyone knows how to get it done it'd be Sean Hyland.  Hope this helps.
