ANSWER: Hello Terry,
Out of all the things that have been installed and checked on the truck, I see that you did not mention anything about checking the fuel pressure and the pumps ability to produce flow. Also another thing you might keep in mind is that sometimes it isn't a component that is failing, but rather the connections and wiring between the two. The only time I have ever seen a Ford set a P1351 was from a faulty ign. module( I use only Motorcraft brand elect. components for Fords), but that doesn't mean you don't have an open circuit somewhere. You might have changed the right component, but maybe improperly. Go back and recheck your intallations.Good luck and I hope this helps! Shaun.

QUESTION: SHAUN,WELL I WENT BACK TO PARKING AT WORK TODAY,AND CHECK ALL OF MY CONNECTION,AND ALL SEEM TO BE PLUGGED IN GOOD,SO I HAD MY SON TO CHECK AND SEE IF HE COULD HERE THE FUEL PUMP RUN AS THE SWITCH WAS TURN ON AND HE SAID NO ,SO I WENT UNDER AND REACH MY HAND TO WERE THE PUMP GOES INTO THE TANK AND DIDN'T FEEL ANYTHING AS HE TURNED THE KEY TO THE ON POSITION,SO I PULL THE COIL WIRE OUT OF THE DIST.CAP AND PUT A SCREWDRIVER IN THE END OF THE WIRE,AN GOT A REAL GOOD SPARK,I DIDN'T THINK A WEAK FUEL PUMP WOULD MAKE AN ENGINE MISFIRE LIKE THAT,OR AM I JUST WRONG IN THAT THINKING?

Answer
Hey Terry, I think we are on the right track here. If the vehicle barely starts and runs(or not at all, or misfires badly), a fuel pump can be a just as likely cause. See if it will run on ether or carb. cleaner when it won't start. That will be your first indication that the pump is bad or it isn't receiving power. Work with that , and good luck!
